Day 1, Depart from home
Day 2,Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake
Arrive in Bishkek at 8:30 am, airport pick up. And we will rambling Bishkek after the breakfast, and the places include: Ala-Too Square, Parliament house, Lenin Statue. Later drive to Burana tower which is stay along with the Tombs, castles and Mausoleum which are all that remain of the ancient city of Balasagun established by the Karakhanids at the end of the 9th century.
The next stop is the village nearby named Don-Aryk where you will witness the famous horseback show called ‘Ulan-Tartysh’ or’ Buzkashi’ . After the show, have lunch at the local family hall named MukanBaike of Don-Aryk village. Afternoon drive to IssykKul Lake to visit the famous Cholpon-Ata rock petroglyphs. Then have dinner and stay overnight.
Day 3, Issyk - Kul - Djety - Oguz Valley - Karakol
After breakfast, we will depart to Karakol where is located in the Eastern end of Lake IssykKul. The Karakol town- In July 1, 1859, the first Russian military sentinel was established and this town existed as an early trade center and a garrison. It was saying that, after the final expedition of the Explorer Nikolai Przewalsky (Nikolai Przewalsky), people called it Przewalsky during the Soviet era and hide him in the vicinity.The Dungan Mosque is the only one of nine mosques not destroyed by the Bolsheviks, although they did close it for ten years. Impressively, it was built without any nails, and also using the techniques brought from China. We will also visit the Donggan territorial Museum. Its exhibits range from prehistoric and interesting rock paintings to bronze artifacts, as well as Soviet souvenirs and contemporary art. (Open time is unstable! ) Here we will enjoy the blue framed windows with ‘gingerbread’ style once we are walking on the street. After lunch transfer to the Djeti-Oguz canyon and see the eagles hunting performance. Then, Back to Karakol stay. Dinner at local restaurant.
Day 4, Karakol - Chon - Kemin Valley
After breakfast drive to Chon-Kemin valley. On the way to Chon-Kemin, we will see the Mongolian Yurtsand and have traditional lunch in the folk family . After that, continue driving to the beautiful Chon-Kemin valley. We will have the opportunity to visit an old Soviet farm (kolkhoz) village and enjoy a short hiking in the valley with green fir trees along the mountain sides. Overnight in a lovely Ashu guesthouse.
Day 5, Chon - Kemin Valley - Almaty
Morning drive to Almaty via Karasu or Kordai border. Upon arrival lunch in Almaty. Then go to Almaty sightseeing. Visit Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, National Musical Instruments Museum, Republic Square. Before dinner we will take a cable car to climb the Kok-Tobe Green Hill. Enjoy panoramic view at Kok-Tobe Hill. Dinner at local restaurant. Check in hotel.
Day 6, Almaty - Tashkent
After breakfast transfer to airport for the flight to Tashkent. We do have chance to visit the city if the flight is in the morning.
Day 7, Tashkent - Urgench
Drive to the airport for the flight to Urgench, and transfer to Khiva, Sightseeing tour in Khiva, spend a day in UNESCO World Heritage site Ichan-Qala fortress.
Day 8, Khiva - KunyaUrgench - Dashoguz - Darwaza
Morning drive to Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan border Dashoguz. Go through customs check and passport control on both sides of the border when crossing the border. Continue to drive to Kunya-Urgench for sightseeing. And we will visit the Mausoleums of Turebek-Khanym, Sultan Tekesh, Sultan IlArslan, Najmad-din-Kubra, Sultan Ali and also to discover the KutlugTimur minaret &KyrkMolla. After that drive back Dashoguz. Afternoon go to Darwaza crater and dinner and overnight in the tents.( If it's cold in October, it might not stay overnight in the tents. We will skip KunyaUrgench and visit the crater on the way to Ashkhabad. Then spend the night in Ashkhabad.)
Day 9, Darwaza - Ashgabat - Mary
After the camp style breakfast and then drive to Ashgabat. Visit the desert landscape on the way. Arrival in Ashgabat. A short city tour in Nissa and then take evening flight to Mary. Overnight( Optional: if our group spent the night in Ashgabat last night, this morning we will have city tour in Ashgabat and then fly to Mary.)
Day 10, Mary - Merv - Mary - Bukhara
Drive to Bairamaly (25 kms). Sightseeing ruins of ancient Mary which include: Alexandria, Antiochia, Sultan Kala castles, and continue to the mausoleum of Talkhatan Baba during XII Century. Return to Mary and transfer to Bukhara, Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11, Bukhara
Today we will visit the trade domes of Bukhara. Bukhara was cultural, Islamic and trade center of central Asia. In the ancient gold jewelry market, some modern and antique jewelry could still be found. Medreseulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasa are two famous religious colleges, but they are opposite to each other. And they were built in different periods in 16th Century and 17th Century. Tim Abdullakhan- the covert market, nowadays it is antique shop of Carpets and silk fabrics. TakiTelpakfurushon and hats. Then we will visit the Magoki-Attori mosque which was the Buddhist Temple. However, nowadays it is a carpet Museum in Central Asia and Uzbekistan at present. The money exchange center you see here that was used as the exchange market during silk road trades. And also now you can find modern banks for exchange or cash withdrawal.
Day 12, Bukhara - Samarkand
Morning we drive to Samarkand round 4 hours. After a short stopover, visit the Amir's tomb, Bibi-Khanym Mosque and bazaar. Then stay overnight in Samarkand.
Day 13, Samarkand
Full day sightseeing Samarkand- the capital of ancient Sogdiana, is one of the oldest cities in the world, of the same age as Rome, Athens and Babylon, and estimated 25 centuries old. During those centuries the city has survived many great and dramatic events. The Saka, Greeks, Macedonians, and the commander of Arabia and the Gen Gi Khan Army all came to Samarkand. Under the rule of Temujin, Samarkand became the capital of his great empire. The great silk road crosses the city and calls it the core. Then we visited the famous Registan square. From thirteenth Century ad, it was used as a market square and also the center of trade and the cultural life in medieval Samarkand. At 1600pm transfer to train station to get to the train at 1700-1910 to Tashkent. Then check in hotel.
Day 14, Tashkent city tour
Tashkent city tour in the morning, and then free time in the afternoon.
Day 15, Take the morning flight back home
